He sure as Hell sounds like one:

Glenn Beck said on his Monday show that anti-gay people “have no place in this country.” . . .
“Anybody within the sound of my voice that hates a gay person because they’re gay, you have no place calling yourself a fan of mine,” Beck said. “You have no place in this country.”

Beck has spoken out in support of gay marriage several times before. Earlier in January, he voiced his opposition against Russia’s anti-gay laws and announced that he would stand by the LGBT advocacy group GLAAD in their fight against “hetero-fascism.”

“You are not a fan of mine — you have no friendship here — if you hate people because they’re gay,” Beck also added. “You have no place claiming that you’re a fan of this show. . . . If that’s who you are, I don’t want to have anything to do with you.”

Beck is now claiming, as I understand it, that he is a Libertarian. Well, being an Ideological one would cause him to speak such nonsense and drivel.  ‘Hetero-Fascism’ is a term used by Ideologues, especially of the Leftist kind.

Clearly, Beck has well and truly gone over to the enemy — the Ideologues, who are the enemies of Truth, Morality, and Human Life.

Of course, the problem with Beck’s rhetoric here is that it conflates political opposition to a certain policy agenda (or religious objections to homosexual behavior) with “hate,” which is an assertion so absurd that I hesitate to dignify it with a response.

Of course, Stacy is not known for hesitating for very long.

Over at Just Turn Right,  JTR makes a compelling case for the proposition that the Obama Regime, specifically, and the national government, generally, are nothing but gangsters.

There’s been a disturbing, …no, make that terrifying, …trend in our politics of late. We are being governed people who behave like gangsters, minus the stereotypical accents or any perceivable ethical code. They believe (and behave as if) our nation’s laws are only for “little people”; schlubs. They believe themselves to be above the law, beyond it.

They believe they won’t be caught, because they believe they can’t be caught.

Most of all, they believe this allows them to deal with their enemies in classic gangster style: through threats and intimidation. They want to send a message, they delight in it, precisely because they believe that no one can touch them.

And God help us all: they may be right.

Oh, I think there’s no ‘may’ about it, JTR — the case you make leaves no doubt.

That this happened — that the people charged with carrying out the duties of running the national government — is not surprising at all.  After all, the Left has spent well over a century undermining The Rule Of Law,  delegitimizing The Constitution and our whole legal system, all in the name of fundamentally transforming The United States into the exact opposite of what The Founding Fathers created.

Unlike the Mob, who can be bought-off, these gangsters have an Ideology behind them that makes them much more dangerous.  They are fanatics dedicated to bringing about Heaven On Earth.

Therefore, La Cosa Obama has much less in common with Meyer Lansky and Lucky Luciano and much more in common with Lenin, Stalin, Robespierre, Mao, and Hitler [yeah, I said it — because it's true].  Read what those dictators wrote — it’s not very different, if at all, from what the Left In America believes.

Part One: You’re Not Paranoid Because They Are Out To Get You

Mark Steyn, from his latest interview with Hugh Hewitt:

…the IRS scandal, that’s actually going to affect the result, if nothing is done about this corrupt revenue agency, that is going to affect the results of the 2014 and the 2016 election. They basically neutralized a large part of the base of one party in a two-party system. The revenue agency. That’s real banana republic stuff, because if you can’t trust your tax collectors to impose the tax laws impartially, you are basically in banana republic land.

No ‘basically’ about it: we have become a Banana Republic.  The Rule Of Law has been replaced by The Rule Of Whim, where men and women — who believe that every means are permissible in order to achieve the end they desire, which is nothing but the fantasies of ignorant and blind wishful thinkers and Nihilists — do whatever they want, ignoring The Constitution, the laws, tradition, and Morality.

The Obama Regime and his feudal lord Democrats will continue to use the IRS and other agencies to persecute groups like the TEA Party because they know the Leadership of the GOP will not relentlessly pursue them over such abuses and usurpations.

The Republican Leadership, supported by Big Business and some anemic conservatives, despises organizations like the TEA Party because they are unable to be bought by them and because they dare to seek to derail the gravy train that the GOP Establishment has gladly embraced as their chief means of travel through Life.

So, the government, at all levels, is out to get us.

The so-called ‘opposition’ will not oppose this.

Also, the GOP Establishment is actively working to defeat any and all candidates that we put forward.

While the Republican Party might maintain control of The House and gain a majority in The Senate, the chances of us, we who are fighting to restore our freedom and liberties, gaining control of both Houses is not good.

It is imperative, I believe, that we understand not only who our enemy is, but how they think of and view the World if we are to have a ghost of chance of defeating it and restoring our freedoms and liberties.

Feminism is clearly an Ideology of the Left, as I’ve explained here many times [one example].

Promiscuity is as well, because it is a rejection of Morality, which is one of the aims of the Left as part of it’s efforts to cause Western Society to break down.*

In a sparkling post today, Stacy McCain schools us on the Left’s advocacy of both destructive forces.

Three highlights:

Democrats advocate and endorse promiscuity, going so far as to distribute “Sluts Vote” pins at their national convention. Knowing the harm to women caused by such behavior, why are Democrats so enthusiastically in favor of it? It’s the Worse-Is-Better logic borrowed from Marxist-Leninist radical theory: The more poverty, crime, disease and unhappiness there is, the more people become alienated from, and hostile toward,  mainstream society. This alienation and hostility can then be organized into political support for the kind of radicalism that proposes “fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”

Happy, successful people aren’t interested in radical transformation, and so Democrats want more people to become miserable failures….

And…

Understanding feminism’s Marxist worldview solves what is to many women a mystery: Why are feminists embracing the “slut” label? Don’t they understand that promiscuity is degrading to women? Shouldn’t feminism be upholding women’s dignity?

If you ask questions like that, you haven’t studied Marxism, which has always scorned “bourgeois morality” as an expression of “false consciousness” that Marxists attribute to religion, “the opiate of the masses.”…

Finally…

A synonym for “political correctness” is cultural Marxism, and the elimination of traditional morality is essential to this radical idea, so that advocating promiscuity is now a feminist imperative, even though women will suffer most as a result.

There is no good and bad, no right and wrong, no true and false or — to express Marxist doctrine more accurately — no one should prefer that which is good, right and true, if that which is bad, wrong and false is more conducive to socialism. Anything that assists in subverting the capitalist order is “good” by Marxist standards, no matter how much hardship, suffering and death may result.

Dead solid perfect.

The Left believes it can feed off of misery, that it can rouse such depressed and dispirited people to support them and eagerly help them to achieve their ends, because it offers a vision of a world without all the nasty stuff in it.  The Left believes it can hide it’s rottenness behind the curtain and cause the masses to only look in the direction of a benevolent Wizard Of Oz.

And it seems that many peoples of the World can be so fooled.

But they forget that we Americans are a different breed altogether [and to a lesser extent, the other peoples of the Anglosphere, as well].  We are in possession of a Spirit that is quite resistant to the cancerous virus known as Leftism.  That fact makes us truly the last, best hope of Man on Earth.

However, as in biology, eventually, if we do not fight off the virus by employing correct measures, we will succumb to The Red Plague.

There’s another word for it, Stogie: Nihilism — and it is the root of all forms of Leftism.

Leftists are malcontents who — for some reason I will never understand — hate living in the world they were born into. They despise Existence and are desperate to escape from Reality by trying to reduce it to rubble and rebuild it from scratch based on fanciful plans they’ve designed in the sterile, unicorn-filled corners of their ill minds, because they, ultimately, are cowards who lack the courage to kill themselves. So, they become determined to drag everyone down into their own cesspit of Misery.

They are the Legion supporting and evangelizing The Culture Of Death.

They are without true hope and, therefore, know only despair.

This is why it is, indeed, a sin to despair.

Mark Steyn is in the fight of our lives.

Yes, you read that right – it is not a typo.

As you may have heard, Mr. Steyn is being sued by Climate Specialist and fiction writer Michael Mann.

The suit was filed over a year ago against MS and National Review.

The Quislings over at NR [yeah, I said it] recently put on their best turncoat costumes and now Mr. Steyn is fighting alone and without a lawyer.

As he wrote recently:

…I’m not the first to discover too late that the American court system is no place for wee unsuspecting foreigners. Although I was the only one on the NR side who’s actually won a free-speech battle (and so decisively that the law was eventually repealed), I was prevailed upon through the course of last year to leave it to the experts. The result is that we blew through half a million bucks, and have nothing to show for it – other than what even Judge Weisberg calls a “convoluted procedural history” that utterly buried the real issues at the heart of the case.

…

As readers may have deduced from my absence at National Review Online and my termination of our joint representation, there have been a few differences between me and the rest of the team. The lesson of the last year is that you win a free-speech case not by adopting a don’t-rock-the-boat, keep-mum, narrow procedural posture but by fighting it in the open, in the bracing air and cleansing sunlight of truth and justice.

NR’s behavior in this case has, for me, been the final nail in the coffin regarding their death as a relevant voice for conservative thought, as far as I’m concerned.  As MS points out:

…If you are only a print subscriber (as opposed to an Internet reader) [of National Review], you will have no idea that NATIONAL REVIEW is in the midst of a big free-speech battle on one of the critical public-policy issues of our time. There have been no cover stories, no investigative journalism, no eviscerating editorials. NR runs specialized blogs on both legal matters and climate change, yet they too have been all but entirely silent. I assume, from this lonely outpost on NR’s wilder shores, that back at head office they take the view that it’s best not to say anything while this matter works its way through the courts. In other words, a law explicitly intended to prevent litigious bullies from forcing their victims to withdraw from “public participation” has resulted in the defendants themselves voluntarily withdrawing from “public participation.” That’s nuts.

Those in charge of National Review have surrendered without a fight and allowed themselves to be subjected to Spinal Bypass Surgery by the Left.

But Mark Steyn is determined to fight this necessary battle and not leave the field to the forces of Tyranny:

…it is now necessary to bring this thing to trial and for Dr Mann to lose, and be seen to lose. If he gets away with just another case in which he threatens somebody and runs up their legal bills but is never actually forced to court and on to the stand, he will do it again, and again. The real threat is to his fellow scientists who are already queasy about his work but see what happens when, like Judith Curry, you question this insecure bully in public. They will remain silent, and vote for a quiet life.

So Dr Mann has to lose big. And I look forward to helping make that happen.

His fight is our fight.

If Mark Steyn can be silenced this way then none of us is safe from these kinds of abuses and usurpations.

It is, truly, a must-read and here are two highlights:

The annual State of the Union pageant is a hideous, dispiriting, ugly, monotonous, un-American, un-republican, anti-democratic, dreary, backward, monarchical, retch-inducing, depressing, shameful, crypto-imperial display of official self-aggrandizement and piteous toadying, a black Mass during which every unholy order of teacup totalitarian and cringing courtier gathers under the towering dome of a faux-Roman temple to listen to a speech with no content given by a man with no content, to rise and to be seated as is called for by the order of worship — it is a wonder they have not started genuflecting — with one wretched representative of their number squirreled away in some well-upholstered Washington hidey-hole in order to preserve the illusion that those gathered constitute a special class of humanity without whom we could not live.

It’s the most nauseating display in American public life….

The State of the Union is only one example of the deepening, terrifying cult of the state that has taken root here. Many heads of state — and some royals, for that matter — fly on commercial aircraft. Presidents of the Swiss federation and members of the federal council receive . . . an unlimited train pass. They have occasional access to a Cessna maintained by the air force, but are known to use mass transit — just like the people they are elected to represent. An American president stages a Roman triumph every time he heads out for a round of golf. The president’s household costs well more than $1 billion annually to operate. The president’s visage is more ubiquitous than was Vladimir Lenin’s in his prime, his reach Alexandrian, his sense of immortality (they call it “legacy”) pharaonic. Washington has become a deeply weird and alien place, a Renaissance court with armored sedans and hundred-million-dollar paydays.

It’s expensive maintaining an imperial class, but money isn’t really the object here, and neither is the current occupant of the White House, unlikeable as he is. Whether it’s Barack Obama or some subsequent pathological megalomaniac, Republican or Democrat, the increasingly ceremonial and quasi-religious aspect of the presidency is unseemly. It is profane. It is unbecoming of us as a people, and it has transformed the presidency into an office that can be truly attractive only to men who are unfit to hold it.

George Washington showed the world that men do not need a king. We, his heirs, have allowed the coronation of something much worse.

Sometimes — just for a brief and fleeting moment — I long for the return of the rule of George III and his Parliament.

It is a sickening spectacle and every American who dares call themselves ‘republican’ had better become nauseous at the slightest thought of it or else they don’t deserve to use descriptor.

One is tempted, when contemplating what the Tyrant in The White House will say in the Address, to quote Shakespeare: ‘It is a tale told by an idiot / Full of sound and fury / Signifying nothing’, but the last bit is, sadly, not true.

What he says will have much significance.

Obama will mean it: he will rule by decree and he will seek to impose Egalitarianism on us.

A Danvers teenager pleaded not guilty today to a second aggravated rape charge in connection with the grisly assault and murder of his math teacher at the town’s high school.

A not-guilty plea was entered on behalf of Philip D. Chism, 15, as he stood silently between his lawyers during a brief hearing in Essex Superior Court.

He previously pleaded not guilty to murder and robbery charges, as well as an earlier aggravated rape charge, in connection with the Oct. 22 slaying of Colleen Ritzer, 24, a popular young teacher at Danvers High School.

Chism is being held without bail.

Ritzer’s family attended today’s hearing, but left court without commenting.

Chism showed no obvious sign of emotion, looking straight ahead during the hearing. He did not look toward the spectators as court officers led him away.

Chism, a student of Ritzer’s who was 14 at the time, allegedly followed her into a bathroom at the high school shortly before 3 p.m. on Oct. 22 and slashed her throat, partially stripped her of her clothing, and stole her cellphone, credit cards, and two driver’s licenses. He then carted her body in a recycling bin to a wooded area behind the school, authorities have said.

During the assault on Ritzer, Chism allegedly raped her twice. One of the assaults was committed with an object, according to prosecutors.

No more ‘ifs’, ‘ands’, or ‘buts’*: Chism is clearly that son ‘Barack Hussein Obama’ always talks about and that we foolishly thought wasn’t real, but another of his composite characters in the fictional story known as ‘The Life Of Barack Hussein Obama: Superstar’.

Could This Be One Explanation?

One can accurately say, I think, that many small businessmen have become more ‘libertarian’ over the years, but, the trouble is: such a philosophy, if not tempered by Virtue, by a Moral Sense, is a license to act without restraint.  And that kind of thinking leads to believing that the means justify the ends.  Where Prudence and Right Reason are rejected, anything goes, all is permissible.

Could This Be One Explanation?

An American businessman has a responsibility to his community and to the nation.  By his hard work, he has achieved success and has the potential to greatly influence Society.  If he uses this potential to support the flouting of the law and the encouragement of disorder, as Amnesty does, the businessman is (1) betraying his Moral responsibilities as a citizen of The United States and (2), on a practical level, cutting his own throat by contributing to the downfall of Law And Order, which is a bulwark of the Free Market.  Further, the businessman, though his collaborators in the government treat him now as an equal partner, can, at any time [and will inevitably] subject the businessman to do what they want at the point of a government-issued gun.

I have written-off the vast majority of Big Businessmen, but, I believe, there is still hope for the Small Businessmen to ‘Come To Jesus’ before it is too late.

These men must rediscover their Moral Imagination and join the fight to restore our freedoms and liberties.

All the greatness that America stands for, all that made it possible for budding entrepreneurs like themselves to have a chance to thrive, is slipping away very quickly.

Darkness is falling.

House Republicans responding to President Obama’s State of the Union vow to move forward on a “year of action” with or without Congress say they agree and want to partner with him.

“We heard the president say this should be a year of action and that is our goal. We join the president in this effort to make this a year of action,” GOP Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers [Bob: You remember Lady Haw-Haw] told reporters here.

The top four House Republicans also sent Obama a letter this morning outlining areas of agreement where the two can collaborate.

The letter notes, “Of course, under our Constitution, most action requires the Congress and the President to work together.”

The letter does not include any language on immigration….

I’ve had quite the head cold going since Saturday and my mind has a tendency to flow in and out of sentience, like the flow of my runny nose.

Man, that was one heckuva head cold and, between it and the snow we had dumped on us by Wotan, it was a rather miserable week at Casa Whoopie, er, Belvedere.

A very special ‘Thank You‘ to all of you who sent along well-wishes — they do mean a lot and most definitely help one to recover.

The worst part for me when I get such illnesses is that they cause me not to be able to reason beyond a thought or two, so putting together coherent posts is out of the question [it's my version of Vulcan Amok Time].

However, this break allowed me to finally watch the first season of Vikings [which captures the spirit of times quite well, even though it is not very historically accurate] and to catch the first two episodes of Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond, which is very entertaining and features some lovely ladies.

Well, enough of this: it’s time to rejoin the War.

Jesse Myerson is a fairly young man and, it seems, a Committed Communist.

He recently published a article over at Salon entitled: Why you’re wrong about communism: 7 huge misconceptions about it (and capitalism).

It is the work of a clearly delusional person who has very little understanding of Human Nature and knowledge of History.

-Stacy McCain has been surgically slicing-up Comrade Myerson’s puerile and preposterous arguments with a skill that proves he has a master’s knowledge and understanding of Leftist philosophy.

In four posts, Stacy has shown Red Jesse to be nothing but, frankly, a First-Class, A-#1 idiot.

Look at the state of America today: we are no longer a constitutional republic and are governed by men and women who have made the politicians and bureaucrats of the Late Roman Republic look like pikers; our Culture worships the profane and the perverse; Normalcy is laughed at and consigned to the Fringes and treated with contempt; and The Idiots, of which Myerson is merely the latest iteration, are winning.

-It feels as if we’re living through the 1930′s again, blissfully and willfully refusing to see that a great cataclysm is about to occur.  Like a few during that dark decade, there are those of us who refuse to be ignornant, but we are labeled as extremeists, terrorists, people not fit to be allowed in polite company.  We have, like Winston Churchill, been banished to The Wilderness — and branded OUTLAWS.

“Ignorance” isn’t Bob’s word in this case but that of an imaginary reader; nevertheless, I have heard this locution all too often and would strongly recommend that we stop giving the rhetorical benefit of the doubt to leftists ever again.

Stop attributing their ideas to ignorance or naivete or stupidity or whatever else. What they’re peddling is poison, and there’s no good reason for people living after the fall of Communism not to recognize that.

Stop saying “Don’t they get it? Communism doesn’t work!” It actually does work, if by “work” you mean “centralizing power into the hands of a few psychopaths who use that power to destroy their enemies and enrich themselves.”

As it turns out, that’s exactly what they mean by “work.” Call that out.

A few useful idiots may say that it’s all about fairness and equality: such fools are actually eager for a All-Powerful Overlord to take the reins and “set things right.” What pains is that these morons will accept any conditions as “right,” no matter how miserable and oppressive, because for them, “right” is “having a strongman in charge who will swiftly punish people I hate.” They’re not interested in their own liberty, so why would they give a rip about the liberty of a whole nation?

“Everything in the state, nothing outside the state,” sounds GOOD to them. It sounds cozy, controlled, perfect. It’s an ersatz version of Christ’s Millennial Reign that’s being sold to them, and they’re buying it whatever the price. They’re the ones who arrive at the Gulag and wonder why such a horrible thing could exist without Uncle Joe knowing about it.

We can’t help these people.
